This modern lariat hackamore and mecate offers the traditional feel of a vaquero setup at a fraction of the cost. It's a great option for training or everyday riding without putting unnecessary wear on your premium traditional gear.

The mecate is tied to the hackamore in the traditional style, allowing it to adjust around your horse's muzzle while creating both a looped rein and a long working end. The free end can be used as a lead line, but it is not intended for tying your horse. Always use a halter if you need to tie.

Why We Made It
We love riding in traditional vaquero hackamores (rawhide) and mecate reins (horse hair), but they can be expensive. We wanted a durable, affordable setup we could train in without wearing out our traditional gear and now we're excited to share it with you!
